I'd rather be outside

What’s more important than spending time outside? Spending time outside with friends. This collaboration between Weekend Project + OTSDR is all about that.

Weekend Project x OTSDR
There’s one fundamental connection between Weekend Project and OTSDR: The pursuit of spending time outside whenever you can, with friends, with a beer, walking and talking.

We approached this collaboration with that shared view of spending time outside and a simple intention: creating something together that reflects our shared ethos.

Weekend Project is a craft brewery with a difference, they promote time outside, creating beers primarily inspired by the great outdoors, from the Pennines surrounding their north west home, to weekends away in the Lake District.

Will France – commercial and brand director of Weekend Project and all round legend in the space – and OTSDR set about creating a collaboration that captures this spirit. We named the beer ‘I’d rather be outside’ – the 1st year birthday beer for Weekend Project – for one simple reason… because we’d rather be outside.

Will helped design the beer with his team and I created the graphics for the label and products, based on two hands coming together to create a mountain, a simple icon that promotes shared time in outdoor spaces. The can artwork expands on the central icon, and explores a scene made up of trippy nature vibes. We then rolled this out over tees and caps and then set about hiking up a hill together to walk and talk and try a beer or two.

Collaborations are always about two sides coming together to create something new, something that allows two brands to participate in a conversation that elevates their core message.

‘I’d rather be outside’ is a celebration of time well spent outdoors.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
